An this article it is proposed to give a concise factual account of the ,activities of the Society of Irish Foresters during its first twenty six years. The Society's doings have been faithfully recorded in its journal, Irish Forestry, but the early issues of the journal are long since out of print and difficult to obtain and so this article aims at summarising information which otherwise might be not easily accessible to members who have joined subsequent to its foundation...
