Abstract

From time to time since I took up duty as forester for the State lands at Curracloe, some foresters and of hers interested have made enquiries of me concerning afforestation in that area. In these notes I have endeavoured to give an idea of some conditions affecting tree growth there, the sylvicultural methods practised, etc. My own connection with Curracloe dates from October, 1942, and since then I have visited the area once every few months...
